Our Story Begins

Anthony Payne Pest Control ltd. Was founded with an office in New Street, Andover, Hampshire
A year later, Son, Steven Payne joined with a noticeable but gradual demand for more timber and damp work.

1983
Building on Reputation

Business grew steadily, upholding many large pest control contracts across the south of England, including all three prisons on the isle of wight. (HMP Albany, HMP Isle of Wight, HMP Parkhurst) also HMP Winchester. The Atomic Weapons Establishment (A.W.E) along with various other military installations and barracks and Royal South Hampshire Hospital and Southampton General Hospital. The first contract for Agricultural pesticide treatment and fumigation started at a local family farm in Grateley and continued right up until 2017 when the family retired and sold the farm.

1995
Pass the Baton

Steven Payne established K.T. Preservation with more of a focus on building preservation and a refinement in timber infestation/ decay and damp. In 1998 Anthony Payne Pest Control ltd. Ceased trading and Anthony retires after many good years handing over to Steven.

2005
Keeping it in the Family

In 2005, eldest son of Steven, Thomas Payne joins the firm as an apprentice damp proofing technician, seeing through many projects into 2010 onwards, and also as apprentice pest control contractor, now covering and maintaining our current pest control contracts.

2019
Into the 21st Century

Youngest son Joseph Payne joins in 2014 bringing with him expertise in plastering and the business solidifies. With the announcement of his retirement in 2018 Steven Payne begins to slowly step down and the business acquires a brand new premises, which was converted into an office with stores.
